Using the seven chakras as our map, we will journey together to deepen our awareness of ourselves through the lens of flower essences. We will primarily focus on flower essences, but will also discuss medicinal plants, gemstones, and energy work that address the emotional/ spiritual aspects of human development.
Starting with the root chakra, we will explore how our personal story forms our current beliefs about security, trust, and abundance. Through guided meditation and sampling the flower essences, we will journey back to our first moments of life to learn about the healing actions of plant spirit medicine.
Each class will focus on another chakra and another group of essences. Through this journey, we will actively engage in mentoring each other as we delve into themes of survival, creativity, power, humility, communication, spirituality, and enlightenment.
By the end of this program, we will have developed our own medicine bag of flower essences, gemstones, and plant medicines to help us on our own healing odyssey.
Due to the nature of this work, this will be a small group. If you are interested, contact me for an application.

Portland Plant Medicine 2011
The third annual gathering of the Portland Plant Medicine community will take place December 2-4 at NCNM, the National College of Medicine. Please visit the website for more information. This is a great opportunity to meet and learn from local herbalist, elders, and wisdom teachers. I will be presenting new material on Saturday at 10AM:
Flower Essences and Plant Spirit Medicine for the Emerging Healer
When we talk about being a healer we mean the process of opening ourselves as conduits for healing energies, and engaging in a co-creative relationship with Oneness. As human beings, we all possess this ability. For those of us for whom this is a calling, there is help along the way.
This class is about supporting the process of becoming healers in our communities. We will explore flower essences and plant spirit medicines that specifically empower your healing agency. Some themes we will cover are: feeling the magic, trust, value and validation, honing the gift, communicating our calling, psychic boundaries, and energy management. This class is appropriate for those who are just curious about what it means to be a healer, as well as for those who already have established practices.
