A radiant blend of Sunflower (waȟčá zí tȟáŋka), Balsam Root (hutkáŋ tȟáŋka), and Sunstone, held in a base of orange flower water and brandy. Created with plants gathered from Mako Sika, the Badlands of South Dakota, and infused with the energy of sunlight, warmth, and renewal.
I now live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, a place that receives long months of rain and darkness. When I first moved here, I began to feel that darkness settle into my body. My energy waned, and my spirit dimmed. I found myself longing for light, not only from the sky but from within.
This formula was born from that longing. It is made for those who are walking through the dark night of the soul, who are grieving, or who feel weighed down by seasonal affective disorder and emotional heaviness. It does not suggest that light is the only valued state. The darkness, too, has medicine and mystery. Yet even as we explore that quiet inner space, we need the presence of warmth and a hearth to return to.
I imagine this remedy as a sunflower torch, its golden face bobbing gently in my hand. It helps me remember the sun while guiding me through the caves of my inner landscape. It comforts those who feel lost, offering the soft glow of companionship until they are ready to emerge again. It is a guardian and a gentle reminder that all things change, and the sun always rises.
In 2021, after the sudden passing of my stepfather from a COVID-related heart attack, I entered one of the darkest seasons of my life. The only comfort I could find was lying before the fire, letting its warmth keep me alive through my grief. I leaned into the presence of the plants and stones, who stood by me with unwavering love. Sunflower, Balsam Root, and Sunstone became my teachers and companions. With time, patience, nourishing soups, and gentle care, I returned to the light within myself.
The Sun Essence invites you to do the same. It is a medicine of warmth, courage, and renewal. It reminds us that even in the deepest night, the promise of morning is already on its way.
Online Classes Cancellation Policy:
Please note that our online classes are non-refundable and no class credits will be issued in case of cancellation. We thank you for your understanding and support.
Mentorship/ Apprenticeship Programs Cancellation Policy:
We understand that schedules are subject to change and in the event of a cancellation, we ask you to consider our firm policy:
- Please communicate any cancellations to shayne@shaynecase.com as soon as possible.
- Cancellations received more than 30 days before the program's commencement will be refunded 90% of what was paid. 10% of the payment will be reserved by Eagle School.
- Cancellations received less than 30 days before commencement will be refunded 80% of what was paid. 20% will be reserved by Eagle School.
- Once the program begins, tuition becomes non-refundable, and credits for other classes or 1:1 sessions are not available.

Flower Essences Refund Policy:
Refunds are only given within two weeks of purchase for unopened and untampered items and shipping will be covered by the buyer. There is a 6% restocking fee for all refunds.
